She currently holds the Academic Position of Clinical Associate Professor in General Dentistry and in Pediatric Dentistry at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
In 2007, Dr. Soncini became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
She is now a member of the Examination committee for re-certification in Pediatric Dentistry and an appointed oral examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Her numerous clinical research studies have been published in the International Journal of Pediatric Dentistry, The Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA), Community Dental and Oral Epidemiology, the Journal of Public Health Dentistry, the Journal of Pedodontics, and the journal of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Soncini’s research has been presented at highly regarded meetings of the International Association of Dental Research, and the American academy of pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Soncini served as Director of the Forsyth School Oral Health Program (Forsyth-Kids) and Dental Director of The Chelsea School Dental Center. She has held teaching appointments at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Harvard University AEGD program, and Mount Ida School for Dental Hygiene. In addition, she is credentialed at Boston Medical Center, Cambridge Hospital, and Franciscan Children’s Hospital where she treats her hospital cases.
Her experience in the care and management of children in the dental setting is enhanced by her talents in working with children with sensory and developmental disabilities. We are both proud & fortunate to have Dr. Soncini at our practice providing the quality of care for children that our adult patients have come to expect at South Shore Dental Group.
